Since its establishment, the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation has formulated its vision based on two basic foundations based on supporting the health and education sectors, considering them the best guarantee for a better life for people, due to their development impact in the medium and long term, as the Foundation has left clear imprints in many needy communities around the world through It implemented many educational projects that clearly contributed to confronting the phenomenon of illiteracy among members of these communities, both males and females Providing them with various scientific knowledge, both theoretical and practical, that keep pace with development requirements that support their ambitions to live a decent life and actively participate in devoting the concepts of sustainable development. Many press releases issued by the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation mentioned the priority it gives to the education sector as a major component of The renaissance sought by people around the world, which dedicates the foundation’s humanitarian mission, aiming to support the desire of the people of poor and remote areas to possess the knowledge tools that enable them to build a promising future that enhances their development participation in their countries. One of the most important of these projects is the construction of two schools in the Baharari region – the city of Jhang – the Punjab province, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in Pakistan. The project consists of two educational complexes, one for girls and the other for boys, which will provide educational opportunities for approximately 1,200 male and female students. According to the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, the total cost of this educational and pedagogical edifice amounted to more than one million US dollars.

Support aspirations

Regarding the project, Mr. Saeed Mudakar Al-Hajri, CEO of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, confirmed that the two educational complexes project in Pakistan is considered one of the most important projects implemented by the Foundation in the educational field at the level of foreign projects, due to many considerations, the most important of which is the development value that this project can have on the world. In the medium and long term, what is more valuable than providing members of this community with the scientific and cognitive tools that support its aspirations and ambitions to achieve success and develop its tools that enable it to  live a better life, and this is what the Foundation seeks through its vision of “Health and Education for a Better Life.”

Intensive efforts

Mr. Al-Hajri pointed out in his speech that this flexibility enjoyed by the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in implementing its projects is characterized by smoothness and effectiveness in terms of timing and speed of completion, due to the Foundation’s reliance on the self-financing characteristic that it adopts through its own investments and the support of the founding members, led by them. His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani, who pays special attention to the Corporation’s work through continuous follow-up, which has greatly contributed to crystallizing the Corporation’s strategy at the level of project implementation, supporting the speed of completion and ensuring the quality of services.

International standards

In the process of implementing its qualitative educational project, the Foundation took care to keep pace with international standards for schools in their exemplary form, which would have a positive impact by raising the level of academic and cultural achievement and improving students’ efficiency in receiving various sciences and knowledge.

The construction of the two complexes extends over an area of ​​​​43 thousand square meters, including 1,700 square meters for each complex, in addition to large green spaces and areas for games. Each school includes 10 classrooms, a science lab, a computer lab, a library, a dining hall, and 4 administrative offices, in addition to two rooms for the guards of the two educational complexes.

The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation chose Jhang Governorate in the state of Punjab, according to the strategic plan of the Ministry of Education in the state of Punjab, because literacy rates (education) are among the lowest in the Punjab region, estimated at about 46%. There is also a large gap between literacy rates between males and females. This large difference indicates the necessity of taking practical and immediate steps to improve the educational situation in this region, especially for females.
