Sheikh Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani Primary Health Care Center improves its services

Sheikh Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani Primary Health Care Center is providing free primary health care services to Syrian refugees in Azraq camp in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at a high level of quality.

The center was built the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in 2017 in cooperation with the Arab Medical Relief Society in Jordan. It is working on upgrading its services with the aim of meeting the necessary needs of the camp residents.

This is done through conducting field and inspection visits throughout the year by a number of the Foundation’s officials to monitor the progress of the center’s work and ensure the quality of medical services provided to patients and the necessary needs of medicines, devices and medical equipment to enable the doctors and nursing team to provide high-quality medical service at the level of diagnosis and treatment.

The Sheikh Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani Primary Health Care Center, which was established in 2017, provides its services to more than 100,000 cases annually by providing many medical specialties that cover basic services.

Medical specialities:

The center provides many medical services through specialised clinics in pediatrics, gynecology, general medicine, and dentistry, in addition to an emergency and ambulance department, as well as a unit for providing vaccines and inoculations, and a pharmacy that provides free medicines to visitors and patients.

The Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation is also working continuously to improve these services and expand the center’s capacity to keep pace with the increasing demand for health services for camp residents, which ensures that the various health complaints they suffer from are dealt with quickly and effectively.

This will contribute to their obtaining these services in accordance with the highest health standards, and this is what the Foundation is keen to devote through these periodic visits aimed at identifying the increasing needs of the center and providing the most important medical specialties that cover most of the health cases that require specialised medical intervention.

Quality services:

The center’s services were not limited to providing traditional medical care, but rather it continuously seeks to improve its services with the aim of improving the living conditions of the camp residents, through hard work to improve their health aspects.

This prompted the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation to implement a qualitative initiative at the service level, most notably the establishment of a clinic specialising in chronic diseases, most notably diabetes and high blood pressure, and providing the necessary health care to patients, which helps alleviate the health and psychological effects of this type of disease and make Patients are more able to accept their health conditions and live with them more easily.

One of the center’s vital contributions is providing vaccinations for newborn babies and monitoring their health conditions continuously and with a great deal of attention.

The center’s services are also added to the initiative of the medical and nursing staff on their part to raise health awareness for different segments of patients and play an awareness role that improves health conditions in the camp. This is done by ensuring that medical advice and guidance is provided, especially to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

The Foundation, in cooperation with the center’s medical staff, also took the initiative to establish a specialised department concerned with educating people with chronic diseases and supporting their health knowledge to enable them to deal with these diseases in a more effective way, which will directly reflect on their lifestyle in general.
