Over QR1.4 million in aid for needy families and groups

 

These monthly and continuous aids come throughout the year due to the great interest that the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation attaches to projects and initiatives inside Qatar.

The Foundation aid for people inside Qatar occupies considerable size of the charity’s aid priorities, based on its assumption of its social responsibilities that enhance its vision of “health and education for a better life”.

Health and Education 

In view of the importance that the Foundation attaches to the fields of health and education, in line with the vision of the Foundation, the Foundation took the initiative to provide financial support to many students in various educational levels, with a total value of QR917,243. These aid targeted students with limited income and find difficulties to pursue their educational path being not able to pay tuition fees and this segment includes students at different educational levels in private and community schools in addition to private universities and academic institutions.

The aid is aimed at meeting the necessary needs of the students to enable them of continuing their educational and academic achievement without financial obstacles. This is in addition to continuing to support the Hamad Bin Jassim Center for Computing Science Education, which was established by Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University.

Financial aid

In the context of financial and in-kind aids, the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation adopts a flexible and effective mechanism in order to reach the largest segment of the needy groups inside Qatar and support their urgent needs of all kinds. The Foundation provided financial aid and in-kind assistance worth QR496,631. The support in November included Qatar Diabetes Association and Aman Center, where the aid amounted to QR30,500.
