Within the framework of Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation grant, the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza signed an agreement to support the marriage of 250 youths at Gaza Strip.

The agreement stipulates the provision of $500,000 to the Palestinian Youth Support Fund. A total of 250 young people will benefit from this initiative at the first stage. This grant aims to alleviate the suffering of young people and support their efforts in providing the costs and requirements of marriage.

The aid will be delivered to beneficiaries who will be selected by the Palestinian Youth Support Fund and under the supervision of
the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction
of Gaza.

Social stability:
In this context, CEO of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, Saeed Muthkar Al Hajri, said that this initiative comes within the efforts of the foundation, which seeks to support the youth in Gaza Strip and provide facilities that enable them to establish their family life in an easy way to enhance their social and financial stability, having a positive impact on society as a whole.

He added that the mechanism through which the support will be provided is an innovative model to a large extent due to its sustainability elements.

Al Hajri said that the support provided within the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation grant is a interest-free loan as the beneficiaries of the support amount, which amounts to $2,000, are required to repay the amount in the form of easy monthly payments.

He said that this ensures these payments are redistributed as interest-free loans to new beneficiaries of young people who are about to get married, and thus benefit a larger number of Gazan youth in a sustainable manner.
