Mr. Saeed Mudakar Al-Hajri, CEO of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, announced that the Foundation will implement many new programs to serve citizens at home during the year 2017.
He said in an interview with Al-Sharq that the State of Qatar provides all health, educational, rehabilitation and training services to citizens, and the Foundation will seek to provide financial assistance to families and debtors, health and treatment assistance to residents, educational and rehabilitation assistance, and participation in cultural and educational programs sponsored by the state, in addition to implementing seasonal projects.
Al-Hajri said that the Jassim Foundation has registered more than five thousand needy families who benefit from the organization through monthly cash assistance and food coupons. And the details of the dialogue:
Patient treatment
What are the Foundation’s efforts in medical care?
The Foundation undertakes to treat many resident patients under the agreement signed two years ago between the Charitable Foundation and Hamad Medical Corporation. The Jassim Foundation also provides cars for doctors to visit patients residing in their homes, noting that doctors visit 100 cases of Qataris in their homes on a regular basis.
The Charitable Foundation also provides support to awareness campaigns for schools and cultural centers, such as the “Deline Me” campaign. The Foundation also sponsored the Qatar International Medical Conference.
What about the Foundation’s assistance to Al-Gharmin?
The Jassim Charitable Foundation pledged last year to allocate 7 million riyals and actually spent about 6 million and 200 thousand riyals to relieve 15 debtors who returned to their families and continued their normal lives.

The campaign to support debtors will continue, as certain sums of money will be allocated to continue the campaign until some of the debtors are returned to their families to live their normal lives after various case studies are completed.
It will support Weyak Center’s psychological counseling program throughout the current year of 2017. The program provides hotlines throughout the day to provide psychological counseling to patients without going to the center in order to preserve the privacy and confidentiality of cases. The Foundation signed a contract in this regard under which it bears the salaries of consultants, assistants and others at a cost of up to half a million riyals.
