Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charity supports the Audio Education Complex

Within the framework of its community responsibility and within its interest in the education sector and its support for purposeful educational and pedagogical activities, the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation sponsored the Islamic Education Festival at the Audio Education Complex for Boys, which was held during the period from April 28, 2019 and continued until May 1, 2019. The Foundation provided financial support for the festival amounting to 50 thousand riyals.The festival included two competitions: “The Little Jurist” competition for middle school students, Each school participated with three students and a supervisor. At the end of the competition, the top three schools in each stage were honored with valuable financial and in-kind prizes along with certificates of thanks and appreciation.

The second part of the competition included the “Little Jurist” competition designated for students of high determination “support students” in all government schools, in addition to many accompanying activities such as religious chanting and a number of lectures.

The competition’s jury consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, the Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and Qatar University. Valuable prizes were awarded to the winners.

 

Integrating the deaf into society

It is noteworthy that the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation sponsored and supported many awareness activities and educational festivals for the Auditory Education Complex, as the Foundation provided financial support for the complex’s activities during its celebration of Arab Deaf Week during the years 2016 and 2017. The Foundation also sponsored the Second Arabic Language Festival for students of additional educational support in the preparatory stage, which was organized by The Auditory Education Complex during April 2017 on the sidelines of the celebration of Arab Deaf Week.

The Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation aims to integrate the deaf and hard of hearing into society by supporting educational and pedagogical events, festivals and competitions organized by the Auditory Education Complex and held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Support educational activities

The Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation is keen to promote social solidarity, contribute to achieving sustainable development and support educational and health activities and events within Qatar based on its social responsibility and in line with its goals and mission.

The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation is distinguished from the various agencies and institutions working in the field of charitable work in that it is self-financing as it does not accept donations from any party, which ensures the continuity of awareness programs and the completion of development projects and initiatives that it implements and sponsors in the fields of health and education.

The Foundation seeks to achieve leadership, excellence and creativity in the field of charitable and humanitarian work inside and outside the State of Qatar through its development projects that focus on the health and education sectors with the aim of empowering people and promoting development.

 

Ongoing support
For her part, Mrs. Hessa Al-Dalil, Director of the Audio Education Complex, expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation for the continued and ongoing support from the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation for the activities and events of the Audio Education Complex and the Foundation’s keenness to sponsor purposeful educational activities.

Pointing out that the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation plays a distinguished societal role, especially in the education sector, as part of achieving its vision (health and education for a better life).

Al-Sayyid Hessa Al-Dalil added in a press statement, “The Islamic Education Festival is being held at the Audio Education Complex for Boys in its first edition under the supervision of the Islamic Education Department of the Evaluation Authority and under the auspices of the Educational Guidance Department of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.”

She explained by saying, “Competitions are an important and familiar educational method in education plans. This is because it achieves many goals that benefit students. Competitions in the field of school activity are of particular importance. This is because it is one of the forms of developing capabilities and building self-confidence, as participation gives the opportunity to choose what matches the student’s abilities, satisfies his inclinations, and keeps pace with his perceptions and personal readiness, thus highlighting his talents and developing his mental and scientific skills.
She added in a press statement: The Audio Education Complex is an educational institution that wanted to contribute to this aspect by preparing a general competition in Islamic jurisprudence (the Little Jurist Competition) for Qatari schools for the preparatory stage. Based on the excellence of the complex in activating cultural activities and spreading awareness and Islamic culture, the selection of this competition came from the core of our school’s mission, which aspires to achieve Qatar Vision 2030 by preparing a creative generation that preserves its religion, values and authenticity.

Festival objectives

The festival aims to deepen Islamic values in the hearts of students and develop aspects of their noble morals, as well as to integrate deaf and hard-of-hearing students into society, in addition to spreading the spirit of competition and perseverance among students in obtaining Islamic education, developing their talents and abilities, enriching their religious information, encouraging them to read and deduce, and providing students with endurance skills. Responsibility, good choice, self-confidence, and organizing ideas.

Capacity Development

For his part, the general coordinator of the festival, Tariq Hamza Abdullah, said: Competitions in the field of school activities gain special importance because they are a form of developing capabilities and building self-confidence. Participation gives the opportunity to choose what matches the student’s abilities, satisfies his inclinations, and keeps pace with his perceptions and personal readiness. It highlights his talents and develops his mental and scientific skills.
