Doha, September 19, 2017 The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation provided financial support to the Qatar Diabetes Association – Qatar Foundation, An amount of 180,000 Qatari riyals, At a rate of 30 thousand riyals per month, This step comes as a continuation of cooperation in supporting the needy and people with diabetes who are unable to purchase testing devices and their supplies. This is within the framework of its commitment to applying the principles of social responsibility in the medical, educational and humanitarian fields in the State of Qatar.
On this occasion, Mr. Saeed Mudhakir Al-Hajri, Member of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, explained: This support comes within the framework of existing cooperation between the Foundation and the Qatar Diabetes Association. In implementing programs to support needy people with diabetes and improving the level of care provided to diabetics and their families for the sake of a healthy society.

Al-Hajri said, “We are pleased to support the distinguished work done by the Qatar Diabetes Association as it takes the hands of patients and their families to overcome the ordeal of the disease. Providing support, material, moral and awareness care, Emphasizing the importance of participating in such noble humanitarian projects as they contribute to the Foundation’s efforts to implement the principles of social responsibility, In addition to enhancing the values of human solidarity, And enhancing awareness among society of the necessity of providing a helping hand and assistance to various institutions.”
He added, This support is considered a unique opportunity to build close relationships based on humanitarian service and build a compassionate society. We expect more success and progress for him in the future. Pointing out that this program began in 2016 and a large number of type 1 and 2 diabetes patients benefited from it. Pointing out that through this support we are playing our role in spreading awareness about diabetes and providing ways to live with this disease. Providing everything that would enable diabetics to live a normal life.

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Hamq, Executive Director of the Qatar Diabetes Association – Qatar Foundation, said: He expressed his thanks and appreciation to those in charge of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation for their support for diabetics who are unable to purchase testing devices and supplies that enable them to maintain their average blood sugar level for a normal, productive life.
