“Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation” distributes Iftar parcels for fasting people in Pakistan

As part of its major campaign to launch Ramadan projects in a number of Asian and African countries, The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation continues, A project to distribute breakfast parcels for fasting people outside the country, This pioneering institution in the field of charitable and humanitarian work, in cooperation with the humanitarian funds of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (Husaniya), distributed breakfast parcels to Muslims in Muzaffarabad, Waziristan, and Khyber. Shingal, Rawalpindi, Punjab province, Pakistan.

The Foundation aims behind this project to provide the basic and necessary needs for orphans, the displaced, and the poor, and to provide the needy, the elderly, and the unemployed with the most important elements of life and the food they need during the holy month of Ramadan. And seek to reduce food insecurity.

In this context, the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with the humanitarian funds of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (Humanity), distributed 1,200 food parcels to 8,160 poor beneficiaries of Pakistan. From needy Muslims living in these poor areas of Pakistan before the month of Ramadan. Each parcel consists of seven main items: rice, oil, and flour, in addition to sugar, legumes, dates, and others.

This project comes for the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation as part of the implementation of the plan to break the fast during the holy month of Ramadan for the season 1439 AH. The components of the food package were chosen to take into account the nutritional needs of the fasting person in general. It is in line with the food preferences of the people of Pakistan, with clear consideration in choosing healthy food ingredients for them.

In this context, Mr. Saeed Mudakar Al-Hajri, member of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Jassim Charitable Foundation, confirmed: The project of distributing breakfast parcels to fasting people in Pakistan is one of the projects that the Foundation has been working on throughout the Ramadan seasons. This work stems from the Foundation’s belief that helping the needy, orphans, and helping the poor is a humanitarian duty, especially during Ramadan, the month of mercy, benevolence, and giving.
