The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation concluded a cooperation agreement with Doha University of Science and Technology, It aims to activate ways of joint cooperation between the two parties over a period of 3 years. Through it, the Foundation seeks to contribute to providing support to groups of struggling and needy students from the university. And support their aspirations in pursuing their educational and academic achievements without any obstacles that may hinder their ambitions, Empowering them with various cognitive tools to achieve an effective contribution to the renaissance of Qatar, supporting its development process, and devoting ways to its sustainability. The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Jassim and Hamad Bin Charitable Foundation, represented by Mr. Fawaz Al-Shammari – Director of the Support Services Department, while Doha University of Science and Technology was represented by Mr. Nasser Al-Hajri – Director of Human Resources.
In this context, Mr. Saeed Mudakar Al-Hajri, Managing Director of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, confirmed: The agreement is a practical translation of the Foundation’s vision of (health and education for a better life). It also represents an extension of the Foundation’s approach to supporting the educational system in the country, relying in its objectives on the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which constitute the basic reference that the Foundation follows in formulating its internal initiatives and projects.
Al-Hajri number, To contribute to supporting the desire of struggling students from Doha University to continue their education without any financial obstacles, It is a priority for the institution, This agreement will necessarily reflect positively on their level of academic achievement and their acquisition of various knowledge that enhance their presence in the labor market.
The Managing Director concluded his speech by saying: Doha University of Science and Technology constitutes an advanced scientific and educational interface, as it is the first national university to provide applied academic, technical and vocational education in Qatar. Which contributes to building qualified national cadres that keep pace with the needs and requirements of the changing labor market. Which is considered one of the most important elements of development and embodies the conditions for its sustainability. This is what the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Foundation seeks to achieve by building creative partnerships with many educational institutions within the country.
On this occasion, Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, President of Doha University of Science and Technology, praised the important work carried out by the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, and expressed his happiness with this cooperation by saying: “The partnership that we are starting today is an important step to raise the university’s enrollment rate and raise the level of Academic achievement for students who suffer from financial difficulties.
