Hamad bin Jassim Center for Integrated Rehabilitation Care in Gaza.. Signs a cooperation agreement with the University College of Applied Sciences

Gaza: Hamad bin Jassim Center for Integrated Rehabilitation Care, One of the most important projects of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in Palestine, By signing a joint cooperation agreement with the University College of Applied Sciences in order to improve and develop the services provided to people with disabilities through developing the staff working with people with disabilities, This initiative comes within the framework of the Center’s strengthening of its quality services within the community in the Gaza Strip, supporting the efforts of this group and providing it with various scientific and cognitive tools that enable it to achieve effective integration into its society and contribute positively as a productive group capable of giving like the rest of its peers.

The agreement includes cooperation between the center and the college through coordination and joint cooperation to develop programs and projects. And work to form a special advisory team to study technical training needs. In addition to cooperation regarding the use of modern technology in providing rehabilitation services, And implementing pioneering community interventions such as early detection and intervention for children at risk of disability in the Gaza Strip.

Building partnerships

In this context, Mr. Saeed Mudhakir Al-Hajri, CEO of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, confirmed that this agreement is a true reflection of the societal role played by the Hamad bin Jassim Center for Integrated Rehabilitation Care, the effects of which have begun to appear clearly through building partnerships with educational institutions in the Gaza Strip, which It will, in turn, contribute to improving the health and educational services provided through the center so that their quality matches the highest international standards, as a result of the focus on employing advanced technology and adopting the elements of creativity and scientific research with the aim of developing the system of services provided and empowering our sons and daughters with special needs to achieve a more effective community presence.

Efficiency and versatility

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Labad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hamad Bin Jassim Center for Integrated Rehabilitative Care, said: This rehabilitation facility, “Hamad Bin Jassim Center for Integrated Rehabilitative Care,” is the result of long efforts and hard work to meet the needs and requirements of people with weak disabilities of all ages, especially those with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, in various fields of rehabilitation, care, supportive medical services, and special education in accordance with the best medical systems and methods. Modern rehabilitation, Providing alternative foster families within the center, It is considered the first center in providing accommodation services for persons with disabilities in Palestine. Which facilitates beneficiaries’ access to services in one place, To become a role model for the quality, efficiency and diversity of services provided to persons with disabilities in Palestine.

He added: We extend our sincere and profound thanks to the brothers in the State of Qatar, the Emir, the government and the people, for their giving and support to the Palestinian people. We extend our special thanks, gratitude and appreciation to the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation for its support and funding for this center to be a prominent landmark in their charitable work in this field and to see the light providing integrated rehabilitation services for people with disabilities.

 

Research

Regarding the agreement with the University College of Applied Sciences, Mr. Labad said: The two parties agree to design and follow up treatment programs and plans remotely. And cooperation in supporting creativity and scientific research through the design of mobile phone applications. To keep pace with changes and contribute to alleviating the suffering of people with disabilities, Implementing the activities of World Disability Day, And joint coordination in order to open horizons of cooperation with international institutions, and related civil institutions, With the aim of exchanging experiences and improving the level of services provided to persons with disabilities. The two parties also stressed the need to commit to providing the necessary facilities to implement the practical aspect and training for students and staff working in the college within the Hamad bin Jassim Center for Integrated Rehabilitation Care. Developing the capabilities and skills of the staff working in the center and for the college to accommodate the beneficiaries of the center within the college’s vocational training programs for people with disabilities, and media exchange in order to raise the level of community awareness regarding issues of persons with disabilities, In addition to the Center’s participation in international and local conferences for persons with disabilities. The two parties also seek to hold the first international conference on cerebral palsy in Palestine during the coming months, with the participation of many Arab and international universities and specialized institutions in the world.
