This assistance was provided by the Foundation based on its societal responsibilities in Qatar and to achieve its vision of providing health and education for a better life.
The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation provided monthly and lump sum assistance to various segments of society, and the social assistance included paying tuition fees for students who were unable to do so for some levels of school education. And to support social activities, at the same time cash and in-kind sums were distributed to needy families, orphans and widows, both citizens and residents.
In terms of supporting education, the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation paid tuition fees for a group of students in private and community schools. The Foundation’s Executive Committee directed the financial authorities to pay students’ tuition fees as quickly as possible so that students would not be harmed due to non-payment of tuition fees. The value of aid in education for the month of April amounted to about 18 thousand riyals. Payment of fees for resident students who were assisted with their late financial obligations to their schools.
The Foundation provided lump sum aid amounting to about 231 thousand riyals, which included needy families and debt repayment. The number of beneficiaries of monthly and lump sum financial assistance reached about 137 cases. It received about 314 thousand and 500 riyals. The Foundation provided in-kind assistance worth 40 thousand riyals. 80 cases of Qatari men and women and residents benefited from it. It also provided support for social activities worth 60 thousand riyals. The Foundation follows a flexible system in terms of monthly financial and in-kind assistance, which may increase according to the needs estimated by the Foundation.
The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation is keen to provide social assistance to needy and needy families within its internal project plan. The Foundation’s Charitable Operations Department provides financial assistance to those entitled to it after conducting an integrated and comprehensive study of the cases. By conducting field research carried out by a group of qualified social researchers in this field who collect information about the cases and study the financial and social aspects of each case that applies for financial support, Or moral, which is represented by school expenses, paying the rent for a house, or providing health care according to the medical reports submitted, some of which require medical equipment that is not covered by health insurance. Which provides health services to citizens and residents, and then recommendations are submitted to the Executive Committee, accompanied by all documents related to the case.
